Soft Gear - dirt box w/ lofi-modulation (Obscene Pink)

Soft Gear is a preamp for your dynamic microphone and/or instrument. The gain stages for inputs were built with "dirt" in mind. It also uses modulation to provide a chorus/ vibrato effect for your inputs. The top portion of Soft Gear is setup like a mixer, with 3 channels: MIC, AUX, and WET. MIC and AUX are your XLR and 1/4" inputs. WET is the modulated signal.

The middle portion of Soft Gear is the modulation section. The naming of the controls in this area was inspired by the qualities of old tape machines. Two options are available for modulating your inputs; FLUTTER or WOW. When toggled in the FLUTTER position, stepped random voltages are used for modulation. When toggled in the WOW position, a triangle LFO is used for modulation.

The touchplate on the side enables feedback in the WET channel. As you apply pressure with your finger, you act as a conductor, allowing the output of the WET channel to be routed back into itself as an input.

*This [pink] version of Soft Gear is the same as the denim/spikes version, however it runs off of 12VDC instead of 9VDC. Power supply included.
